Craig Charles has stepped down from his role as a presenter on The Gadget Show.
The form Coronation Street actor revealed he had chosen to quit after five years in the job in order to pursue other ventures.
The actor-turned-presenter had been presenting The Gadget Show alongside Ortis Deley, Jon Bentley and Georgie Barrat.
“I don’t think I’ll co-present any more Gadget Shows, so that’s gone. I like new adventures – I’m always looking forward rather than back,” he said (via The Sun).

Explaining his reasons for wanting to explore other work projects, he continued: “When I was in the [I’m a Celebrity] jungle my brother died and it prompted me to leave Coronation Street because it made me realize there were things I wanted to do – which I didn’t have time for while I was in Corrie – before it was too late.”
Charles added that he’s also considering whether or not it’s time to “slow down” in terms of work as well.
“Last summer I was doing a show about UFOs for Sky History, The Gadget Showthe first series of money bagsmy radio Monday to Friday and then gigging all weekend,” he said.
“I should slow down.”

Charles, who had played Lloyd Mullaney on Coronation Street between 2005 and 2015, is currently hosting Channel 4’s game show Money bags – a project which he is more than excited about.
“People have come to me with quizzes and game shows for so many years but none of them suited my personality,” he continued. “money bags is exciting – £1 million comes down the conveyor belt every week.”
“It’s a cliché but that’s a life-changing amount of money.”
