GEORGE TOWN: Whether you are looking for an energy-efficient home, a lift to save you the aches of climbing stairs at home or the essentials like a good mattress, kitchenware, lighting and with the pandemic, air purifiers, Homedec has you covered at their exhibition with promotions and special deals.

A myriad of home appliances, furnishing, home purifiers, solar panels and even talks on Feng Shui, will have you covered from all angles at the Homedec exhibition at the Setia SPICE Convention Center in Bayan Baru from now till Sunday (April 10).

The three-day Homedec exhibition boasting over 300 booths is considered a one-stop home living and design exhibition for all homeowners.

Lawyer Gerald Mak, 44, who was there to check out sofas and a wardrobe for his new home said he has been looking forward to the exhibition as it is a well-reputed place to buy furnishings.

“The products are of good quality and it is a much better option than purchasing things online.

“I prefer to have the feel of things before investing and here they have high-quality items at a great price,” he said.

Mak said Homedec has created a great place for people wanting to furnish their homes.

Nica Leong, senior manager of business development at Homedec organizer CIS Network, said the exhibition this time is focusing on healthy living while offering all aspects needed to have a comfortable home, especially during the pandemic and eventually post-pandemic times.

“The exhibition offers customizable options be it wardrobes, dining table sets, sofas, kitchenettes and tech, lighting and other special features such as solar panels and even installing a lift at home.

“People usually think that you need a big space to have such features and furnishings but things are customizable meaning it does not matter what size your home is, you can still design it to suit your taste.

“We even have interior design consultation offered here for those who want to seek professional advice to build or furnish their dream homes,” she said.

Leong said the pandemic has changed the way we live as we spend more time at home.

It is crucial that we take the necessary steps to improve our basic needs, especially when taking care of one’s family.

“As the situation improves we must still continue to keep our living environment safe, therefore we are offering a feast of options when it comes to air-purifiers and ventilation systems.

“By collaborating with the right people Homedec is providing homeowners with a platform that helps them live their life to the fullest,” she said.

At the exhibition, Leong said the most demanding category at the exhibition is the kitchen and electronic appliances.

“There is a demand for home hygiene products as many now have realized the importance of a safe home.

“Especially since many people work from home and have been spending more time indoors,” she said.

Leong said joining the Penang leg of the exhibition this time was a booth offering customizable lifts that can be installed at home as well as solar panels which can save energy and reduce one’s electricity bills.

“A solar-powered home provides a solution to reduce one’s bills.

“While having a lift at home is usually considered something that comes with the house or specifically for big homes but now it can be built into smaller spaces, customized to suit one’s needs,” she said.

Leong said the exhibition offered options for audio systems from reputed brands with a vast option of lighting especially to cater to those who work from home.

Visitors who register and visit Homedec stand have a chance to receive a door gift on a first come first serve basis while stocks last daily.

While those who spend RM800 and above in a single receipt at the exhibition can participate in their Oh My Draw Contest to stand a chance to win a host of prizes, vouchers and even cash when they visit the contest counter.

Following the standard operating procedures to put health and safety as a priority, visitors are encouraged to RSVP at prior to attending the exhibition.
